Eye Movement Integration (EMI)

What is EMI?

EMI stands for Eye Movement Integration. This is a form of therapy that involves making specific eye movements, whilst accessing certain difficult memories and emotions, under the direction of a trained therapist.

This therapy helps to process, integrate and release traumatic memories and unpleasant feelings.

These memories and feelings then become neutral, allowing the trauma to recede. This can help the physical symptoms to disappear or be greatly reduced, and other unpleasant symptoms such as flashbacks and nightmares to abate.

EMI works well alongside Hypnotherapy, Pain Neuroscience Education and Emotional Freedom Technique.

Ella used EMI to help reduce my feelings of guilt and despair, and helped me to make sense of my emotions.
I can’t put into words how grateful I am for her kindness, professionalism and knowledge.
